McLennan Community College will have a Topping Out Ceremony for its new Science Building at 10 a.m. June 26 in front of the construction site.
During this symbolic ceremony, which is performed when the last beam of steel is placed at the top of a building, a sapling will be positioned on top of the Science Building to symbolize the final beam. After the ceremony, the tree will be planted on campus.
The event is open to the public and will be attended by the MCC administration, MCC Board of Trustees, officials from Mazanec Construction and the campus community.
