PHED 1122 - Bowling
Provides a progressive exploration into the mechanics of bowling, including proper stance, starting positions, footwork, arm swing, timing, finish at foul line, release of the ball, and major emphasis of the hook ball. Strike angles and action, spare angles, increasing and decreasing speeds, as well as ball selection, lane recognition and conditions, and pin-setting machines are also emphasized. Disc golf, sometimes called Frisbee golf, is a game where individual players throw a flying disc into a basket or at a target for eighteen holes. It is similar to traditional golf and uses many of the same rules and terminology.
