Scholarships

Competition Information:

Merit-based tuition scholarships will be awarded in the Spring semester. The Scholarships will be applied to tuition and fees for that semester provided all criteria are met. Scholarships for following semesters will be awarded to the applicant pending a review of the student's work and academic performance (based on criteria listed below). Re-application for scholarship recipients is not necessary.

Criteria:

  1. 2.5 Grade point average (GPA)
  2. Must be enrolled for at least 12 hours, with minimum 3 hours in ARTS
  3. Must enter at least one work in the Annual MCC Student Art Competition (Spring semester)

To apply for a Scholarship:

  1. Student must submit FIVE (5) pieces of artwork for review *
  2. Student must submit completed Visual Arts Scholarship application
  3. Student must write a 1 page statement about themselves and their artwork

* Artwork may be submitted in one of several ways; if submitting photos or slides please provide title, media, year completed, and dimensions.

All four (4) application items listed above must be turned in Feb. 1st in Room CSC F-124.

A list of Scholarship recipients will be posted on the CSC F-139 door after faculty review.
