Donald C. Balmos serves as director of the Visual & Performing Arts Division. He holds degrees from Baylor University in music theory and the DMA degree in choral conducting from The University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Balmos is the Director of Music at the Seventh and James Baptist Church of Waco and has previously served as director of the MCC Chorale and as Musical Director of the Waco Civic Chorus. He frequently performs as pianist with the Waco Symphony. He is an active choral adjudicator for the Texas Music Adjudicators Association and currently serves as President of the Texas Association of Music Schools.
