Karen Albrecht currently teaches voice and diction. Dr. Albrecht brings her performing experiences in opera, music theatre, and concert in the United States and Europe, as well as her expertise as a former Texas high school choral director to the MCC music department. She holds degrees from The University of North Texas, including the Ph.D. in music education and vocal pedagogy. She has presented numerous lectures at state-wide and national conferences including TETA and TMEA. In addition to her vocal responsibilities, Dr. Albrecht directs the music theatre vocal ensemble "SPOTLIGHT!" and serves as the music director for the Theatre Department's annual musical
