Ruth Pitts has taught many classes at MCC, including piano, class piano, theory, basic music, music appreciation, and music literature. Dr. Pitts holds degrees from Baylor University and George Peabody College, with a Ph.D. in Musicology. Her private piano/voice studio has produced many successful musicians in the Waco area. She is a past president of the Texas Music Teachers Association and is currently the President of the MTNA South Central Division and a member of the Executive Board of Music Teachers National Association.
