Welcome
McLennan Community College's Computer Information Systems Program offers students a smart start on an exciting and growing career field. We offer opportunities for all interests, be it a one year certification in a specialty area, a two year technical degree or preparation for a bachelor's degree in information systems and/or computer science. Further, MCC's training partnerships with such industries as CISCO, Microsoft and Novell ensure that our graduates can step into the workforce confident in their ability to work on a variety of computer systems.
Mission
To provide quality credit instruction and technical training in Computer and Information Systems to the Waco and McLennan county community so as to prepare students for technical careers, establish a pool of qualified employees for local employers and promote technology throughout the community.

CIS Lab and Exam Center
The CIS Lab, which is located in AS 114, provides students with access to computers (PC and Mac), printers, scanners, and software to meet their educational requirements. Printing is available at a cost of 8 cents per page, payable with the HighlanderOne card.
The Exam Center, which is located in AS 102, is a designated computer lab where students can take exams as required by their course instructors.
Fall/Spring Hours:
- Monday - Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m
- Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m
Summer Hours:
- Monday - Thursday: 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
