MCC is approved as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the Texas Nurses Association, which is accredited as an approver of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurse Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. This approval meets Type I criteria for contact hours for relicensure as established by the Board of Nursing Examiners for the State of Texas.

Mission Statement

The Health and Human Services Continuing Education department of McLennan Community College believes in COMMUNITY in its' purest form, which is "joint sharing". Therefore, this department will provide classes which enable community members to:

  1. Enter health and human service occupations.
  2. Stay current in their field.
  3. Maintain licensure or certification in a chosen health and human services profession.
The MCC Health and Human Services Continuing Education department dedicates its personnel and resources to the community in an ongoing partnership to provide quality education/training.
