The faculty and staff of McLennan Community College’s Cosmetology Program welcome you! Our goal is to assist students in becoming professional cosmetologists by teaching the theory and basic skills necessary to successfully pass the state licensure examination. Our graduates are prepared for entry-level employment in the field of cosmetology.
Mission Statement
The Cosmetology Program meets the general philosophy and educational objectives of McLennan Community College by offering occupational training that provides students with the skills required for a specialized field. Upon successful completion of the Cosmetology Program, students receive a certificate of completion.
Services Provided
The Cosmetology Program offers a variety of salon services that are available to the public. All services are performed on the client by students who consult with instructors before performing services. Because services are performed by students and not licensed operators, the cost is greatly reduced.
MCC's services include:
- Hair cut, color, perm and style
- Makeup application
- Manicures and pedicures
- Facials
- Waxing
- Microdermabrasion
