Dr. Johnette McKown - Professional Experience
Prior to her current appointment as Executive Vice President at McLennan Community College, she served for 14 years at Paris Junior College where she held the following positions:
- Director of Business Operations
- Part-time Instructor, English
- Director, Institutional Research, Human Resources, Development, and Records
- Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Administrative Affairs
- Secretary to the Vice President of Instruction
Dr. McKown gained valuable experience through owning and operating a grocery store with her husband and also from the variety of experiences listed below:
- Secretary to the President, Vernon Regional Junior College
- Secretary to the Associate Registrar, University of North Texas
- Teacher of English, Reading, and French, Little Elm Rural High School District
- Library Internship, Union Parish Library
In addition to her responsibilities as Executive Vice President, Dr. McKown teaches Business and Finance in Higher Education at Baylor University and also Developmental English at McLennan Community College.
