Upcoming Sponsorship Opportunities
One of the best ways to be involved in the MCC Foundation is through sponsorships and donations to various Foundation projects and events. Not only does such a gift make the event more special, but it also shows, in a public way, that the supporter really cares about our college and our community. Below are upcoming opportunities to assist the Foundation through sponsorships.
MCC History Book. (Due out in late summer 2007) Started by longtime MCC history instructor Mike White and researched and written by veteran journalist Sandra Sanchez, this 40th Anniversary commemorative book recaps the exciting journey of McLennan Community College from an idea in the early 1960s to successful reality today. Only five sponsors will be included in this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
3rd Annual Tax and Financial Planning Institute. (November 13, 2007) Begun in 2005 as a venue for local professionals to network, earn continuing education credits and learn more about the MCC Foundation, this daylong seminar has become an excellent way to reach more than 200 accounting, legal and financial planning professionals from throughout Central Texas. Sponsorships of various levels are available to cover meals, refreshments, materials and promotions.
20th Annual MCC Foundation Golf Tournament. (Friday, October 5, 2007) As one of the oldest and most popular tournaments in Central Texas, the MCC Foundation Golf Tournament is guaranteed to provide a day of fun for more than 200 golfers and 100 business sponsors and donors who team up to bolster funds for MCC student scholarships, capital items, and departmental needs. Get in the swing at sponsorship levels ranging from Diamond ($10,000) to Hole ($200).
McLennan Distinguished Lecture Series. MCC proudly welcomes the fourth distinguished lecturer to this phenomenal speaker series: former Secretary of Labor and noted economist and author Robert Reich. The MDLS is designed to bring nationally known speakers to campus to discuss politics, science, literature and popular culture. Due to ever-increasing speaker fees and event costs, the lecture series seeks endowed funds to ensure its perpetuity.
Gala 2008 (tentative date: March 8, 2008) It’s never too early to begin planning for next year’s Gala fundraiser, which is one of the Foundation’s largest capital-raising events each year. Sponsorships are available at many levels to make this a memorable evening for arts lovers.
