Book Scholarships Available for Part-Time MCC Students

Area professionals involved in tax, estate and financial planning are invited to attend the 5th Annual Tax and Financial Planning Institute at McLennan Community College.
The institute will be 8 a.m.-5:15 p.m., Nov. 10 at the McLennan Community College Conference Center at 4601 N. 19th St. Pre-registration is required by Nov. 3.
The Tax and Financial Planning Institute is designed for area attorneys, CPAs, trust officers, insurance professionals and financial planners who seek professional education credits at a local venue. Seven state and regional experts will present information on social security issues, health insurance, international financial reporting standards, business and property tax topics and charitable giving. Dallas-based attorney Todd Kraft will also discuss the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
The institute is presented through the coordinated efforts of The Central Texas Chapter of CPAs, The Heart of Texas Estate Planning Council, The Waco-McLennan County Bar Association, The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors of Waco and the McLennan Community College Foundation.
Cost for participants is $125, which includes a minimum of eight hours of professional education credits for all related disciplines, conference materials, and continental breakfast, snacks and lunch.
