MCC Foundation Scholarships
Click here to apply for the part-time student book scholarships for the Spring and Summer 2010 semesters. Scholarship applications must be completed in duplicate hard copy and returned to the MCC Financial Aid office no later than 6 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2009.
Through the gracious gifts of our many friends, the MCC Foundation is able to award over 200 scholarships each year. Scholarships are funded from permanent endowment funds (Endowed Scholarships) or through annual contributions (Unendowed Scholarships). For a student to become eligible for these scholarships they must:
- Demonstrate Scholastic Ability
- Enroll as a Full Time Student (12 or more hours)
- Maintain a 2.5 to 3.0 grade point average while attending MCC
Students who wish to be considered for MCC Foundation scholarships must fill out the MCC Foundation Scholarship application. MCC will begin accepting online scholarship applications in mid October 2009 for the 2010-2011 school year. Completed applications must be submitted by 6 p.m. on January 12, 2010 (no exceptions). No paper applications will be accepted. Official transcripts are also required to be submitted and they must be delivered to the MCC Financial Aid Office on or before January 19, 2010.
If the scholarship is awarded, a student is requested to submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the Office of Student Financial Assistance, write a thank-you note to the donor (note cards are provided with the award letter) and attend the Scholarship Award Reception in the fall.
