Real Estate

Welcome

If you are looking for a profession that offers a world of opportunity, consider a career in real estate. You'll discover there is much more to this popular and growing field than just buying and selling homes. This rewarding career field also allows you to be your own boss, work flexible hours, and earn an impressive income if you possess the right combination of skills and initiative. Our courses will provide you with the skills and training employers look for when searching for qualified applicants.

The Real Estate Program at McLennan Community College opens the door to the dynamic real estate profession. We offer an Associate in Applied science degree in Real Estate/Management and are approved by the Texas Real Estate Commission. You can get your new career off the ground before finishing a degree. After completing only four required courses, you are eligible to earn your Texas Real Estate Salesperson’s License, which will allow you to enter the real world of real estate.

You can also explore and prepare for other licensure options through MCC’s Real Estate Program:

Courses in the program also meet requirements for both the Texas Real Estate Salesperson’s License Examination and the Texas Real Estate Broker’s License Examination. For information on the examinations, contact the Texas Real Estate Commission, Post Office Box 12188, Capitol Station, Austin, Texas 78711.

Once you’re started in your real estate career, you can still tap into MCC’s Real Estate courses to fulfill Mandatory Continuing Education, MCE, requirements for licensure renewal.

Mission

The mission of the Real Estate Program is to provide and teach a variety of Real Estate courses to students wishing to expand their knowledge of Real Estate, complete a certificate program or AAS degree program, or fulfill educational requirements required by the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC) necessary for licensure.
