New Format:

We are so excited to once again serve our community with the Kids' College Program. Kids' College has undergone quite a few changes and we hope that you will like our new programming structure. We do regret any inconvenience our new structure may cause those families who have come to rely upon our past full and half day programs. However, we are confident that we have planned an exciting summer program that will provide a safe, fun, enriching, and educational experience for students entering 1st through 11th grade.

New Fun:

Students will explore a world of unimagined fun in a variety of camps offered throughout the summer. We will not have our full day or half day camps as in past years. Our camps are designed much like our college courses, in that students will be able to choose different camps to attend throughout the day. Our summer 2009 camps will last one to four hours daily for one to two weeks in length depending on the camp. This year, we are introducing our Friday Field Trips and Sleepover at the Ballpark adventures that are sure to be a huge hit with our campers.

New Opportunities:

We are offering students, who are 15 to 17 years old, an opportunity to serve as a Kids' College Volunteer Counselor. This new opportunity will give selected students the opportunity to work with McLennan Community College as a Kids College Volunteer Counselor from June 2009 to May 2010, while gaining valuable volunteer hours at the same time.

New Fund:

In an effort to help qualifying parents in getting their children into MCC’s Kids’ College this summer, a new fund has been set up at the MCC Foundation to award scholarships to children attending Kids’ College. If you are interested in contributing, please contact the MCC Foundation at 299-8604 or email hharelik@mclennan.edu. If you would like to apply for assistance please click here, or you may pick up a Scholarship Application at the Continuing Education office. Please, return completed applications to the Continuing Education office. Deadline for applications is June 1, 2009.

• Summer Registration will begin on April 1, 2009!
• Registration must be done in person and a parent must be present to fill out the necessary forms. You can save time by filling out the registration form and the parent / medical release form before you come in to register.
