Send your horse lover to camp this year. Our equestrian camp offers a hands-on learning experience in all aspects of horsemanship. Along with daily riding instruction, campers will learn the importance of safety, feeding, grooming, saddling and stable management. Basic riding and horsemanship skills will be taught. Each camper will be paired with their own horse for the week. Hurry – sessions fill up fast! Campers must wear long pants or jeans and smooth-soled shoes with heels. (No shorts or sandals!) Campers will use MCC horses and tack. Helmets are required and will be provided. All parents must attend a mandatory parents’ meeting prior to the start of camp. Do your campers beg to stay longer at Horse Camp? Enroll them in this new camp at Highlander Ranch this summer. Your camper will spend all day at the ranch doing activities like riding horses, playing horse games, doing scavenger hunts, watching movies, doing water activities, and making arts and crats. Drop-off for the camp is 7:30 am and final pick-up time is 5:30 pm. Please send your camper dressed appropriately for riding (long pants and boots). After lunch, they can change into more comfortable clothes (like shorts and tennis shoes) for afternoon activities. Send a swimsuit, towel, non-perishable lunch, snack and drink with your camper daily. For more information, contact Jennifer Matthews at 254-299-8553.
