Library Instruction Request Form

Librarians at the MCC Library are available to teach library instruction classes, including general group tours, individual instructional sessions, or subject specific library research classes. The subject specific classes are tailored specifically to the needs of individual faculty and their courses. Created in collaboration with faculty, these sessions can provide instruction in the following areas:
  • developing research strategies
  • choosing appropriate research tools
  • searching print and electronic indexes
  • searching the Internet for credible sources
  • evaluating information sources
  • finding scholarly journal articles
  • using discipline-specific resources
Please provide all of the information requested below. If you would like to request multiple sessions, please fill out a separate form for each session. Upon receipt of the request(s), we will confirm the dates/times via phone or email. Classes have not been scheduled until you receive confirmation from a librarian. We will do our best to accommodate all requests.

Unless specifically requested, all BI classes for MCC on-campus courses will be taught in LTC 318 or LTC 321. Dual-credit BI classes will be taught at their respective locations.

For additional information, please contact library faculty (Sharon Kenan, Jo Pendleton, or Gail Woodward) at 299-8323.
