How do I login to the library from home or away from campus?

  • You will need to login with your MCC student username and password for access to the library's article, ebook and research databases.


    Searching for Articles from Magazines, Journals or Newspapers?

  • Go to Where Do I Start?
  • Go to Find Articles, Research & More
  • Choose a Database by a Broad Subject Area
  • Go to Online Periodicals to locate the full-text for a specific magazine, journal or newspaper

  • Searching for Books?

  • Use Find Books (Online Catalog) for locating hard copy and electronic books
  • Use NetLibrary or Ebrary to find only electronic books
  • See recommended online sources for Encyclopedias & Reference Books

  • Would you like to see library recommended Internet sites?

  • Go to our Internet Sites by Subject

  • Do you wish to see a tutorial or guide on conducting library research?

  • View our Online Library Orientation

  • Can you send me MCC library books and articles from the library that are not available online?

  • We offer Document Delivery services to online and distance students that are not able to come to the library on campus. We cannot mail or email items that are available electronically in the library's article, ebook and research databases.
  • Articles: Emailing of articles (PDF) from library owned hard copy periodicals
  • Books: Mailing of library owned hard copy circulating books (no reference or reserves)

  • How can I check out books from other libraries?

  • Students able to come on-campus to the library can make online requests using our Interlibrary Loan Service. This service allows a MCC student to borrow known items from other libraries and pick them up at the MCC library upon their arrival.
  • Students able to come on-campus to the library can fill out a TexShare card application to gain borrowing priveleges from other Texas libraries taking part in the TexShare card program.
