The McLennan Community
College Library is available for University Center students to use. We encourage
questions and are willing to assist you with any reference and research needs.
Provided here is information on the library facilities for University Center students
as well as contact information for research assistance.
Copying and Printing in the MCC Library - The charge for printing
and copying is 8 cents per page. Copiers and printers at MCC will not
accept cash. MCC has courtesy cards that may be purchased for $1.00
in the Learning Technology Center to be used for this purpose. You may
add money to the card, and then use the card to make copies in any of
the MCC copy machines or library computer printers.
If you would like to obtain an official college ID from MCC, you may
contact the MCC Card office, located on the 2nd floor of the Learning
Technology Center. ID cards from Tarleton and UT Arlington are available
by visiting those campuses.
Checking out library materials from the MCC Library - If you
wish to obtain materials from the MCC Library or other Texas Libraries,
you will need to obtain a TexShare card from your home university library. You
can also obtain a
TexShare card at the Waco-McLennan Public Library if you are a resident of McLennan County. University Center students can
check out the Quiet Study Rooms which are available on a first come, first served basis.
Computer use at the MCC Library - You are welcome to use any desktop
computer in the library, but you will need to login to access the network.
Please contact the University Center staff or ask at the Library Information Desk
for login information. Laptop computers are not available for check-out to University Center students.
Tarleton State University
Home/Office delivery (Tarleton State University) - Tarleton State University distance learners that need home/work delivery of materials and meet eligibility
requirements can register with the library as a distance learner at
http://www.tarleton.edu/~library/dsform.html. Next, establish an ILLiad account at
http://illiad.tarleton.edu/illiad/logon.html where you can place requests for materials either from
Tarleton Libraries or from libraries around the world. As a registered distance learner, the library will either send the
materials electronically in the form of PDF documents or mail items to your registered designated address. Non-registered
distance learners can choose to pick up materials at either the library in Stephenville or Killeen.
Receiving Tarleton Library Materials at MCC -
Tarleton Students may now receive Tarleton library materials
in Waco. Please visit the following sites to learn more about how to
borrow books from other libraries and how to receive Interlibrary Loan
materials in Waco at the MCC Library Circulation Desk.

Online databases (Tarleton State University) - The
Tarleton Library subscribes to numerous databases containing thousands
of journal titles, most of which contain full-text articles. Access
these full-text articles from your home or work using your Tarleton
Network/Email account. To claim a network account, go to

Library and Research Assistance
Texas Tech University
TTU distance students can request materials through the library's Document Delivery department using ILLiad, and requested items will be mailed via FedEx. Create an ILLiad account at http://request-it.lib.ttu.edu.lib-e2.lib.ttu.edu/. When creating the ILLiad account, distance students should select "TTU Distance Student (Grad/Undergrad)" as their status on the drop down menu. They also need to give the street address they want to use as their delivery address.
The TTU Library web site is located at http://library.ttu.edu. From that page students can search the catalog or access the library's electronic resources. Students use their eRaider login username and password to access e-resources. See also Off-campus FAQ.
Library and Research Assistance
University of Texas at Arlington
UTA University Center students are encouraged to use the library resources available
from the University
of Texas at Arlington Library. The UTA Library's web site
is located at http://library.uta.edu.
When accessing UTA's library, you will be prompted to login when linking
to a database. For information see

The login is your UTA NetID account that was issued when you registered
for UTA classes.
