MCC introduces 'green' bike rental program on campus

September 19, 2008

In an effort to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions from cars on campus, McLennan Community College is renting bicycles to students and employees to ride to, from and around campus. The MCC Cycles program will offer bikes, helmets and locks for only $10 per semester.

Individuals may check out bikes for an entire semester by calling the Student Activities office at 299-8443 to check bike availability and then paying a $10 deposit to the Business Office. Renters must sign a liability form and receive basic bike and safety guidelines. (At the end of the semester, bikes will be assessed for damages, and renters may be liable for reimbursement to the college for damages.)
