MCC receives grant to train local Caterpillar employees

The Texas Workforce Commission has awarded a $195,556 grant to McLennan Community College's Corporate & Professional Training department in order to train employees of Caterpillar Logistics Services Inc.
The Skills Development Grant will provide management, safety and logistics training to the more than 300 supervisors and hourly employees who will be employed by the company this year. MCC will coordinate the training, which will be conducted by both Caterpillar and MCC employees.
With this grant, MCC has been awarded more than $3.5 million in training grants from the Texas Workforce Commission for local employers.
