Credit By Articulation

Do you want the opportunity to receive college credit for the high school classes you have taken? MCC's Credit by Articulation Program can help you articulate certain courses to earn college credit.

What is it?

Credit by Articulation gives you the chance to receive college credit at MCC for specific courses taken in high school. The courses must be taken during your junior or senior year, and you do not have to specify a specific career path to gain credit. Talk with your high school counselor to find out what courses you could articulate through MCC and receive college credit.

Who can participate?

Credit by Articulation will only be granted if a formal articulation agreement is in effect between the school district and MCC at the time the student completes the course. You can obtain a list of participating school districts and course listings from your high school counselor or the Tech Prep / Articulation Technician at MCC.

What is an example of Articulated Credit?

Let's say that you took Accounting I in high school. You may be able to articulate that specific course for the college-level Introduction to Accounting course. Therefore, the class you took in high school allows you to receive credit for that course in college.

How do you apply for Articulated Credit?

You must fill out a petition for Articulated Credit and that form must be submitted to the Tech Prep / Articulation Technician at MCC when you apply for general admission.
