Here's the place to answer most of the questions that might be swirling around in your mind. All of the topics listed below are focused on high school students.
Do the classes I take at MCC transfer to other colleges?
Yes. Since MCC is an accredited institution, the college courses you take here are transferable to other four-year colleges and universities.
Can I register for classes before I graduate high school?
Yes. Most students think they must wait until they have graduated high school to register for classes at MCC - THIS IS NOT TRUE! Registration for the Summer and Fall terms begin in April - so seniors that are applying to MCC should begin the process in the early spring (around January or February). Where can I get a MCC class schedule?
The MCC class schedules are produced on a semester basis. The Summer and Fall schedule is distributed each year at the beginning of April and the Spring schedule is distributed each year at the beginning of November. The schedules are available on MCC's campus, at area high schools and on white MCC racks located throughout the community. You can also search the most recent class schedule here.
Where can I get a MCC Catalog?
The catalogs are available on MCC's campus at the Information Center inside the Student Services Building. You may call or write to us and we will send you one in the mail (our address is at the bottom of this page). In times of catalog shortage, we may not be able to mail them out year round. Does MCC offer Financial Aid and Scholarships?
Yes. MCC gives away close to A MILLION dollars each year in scholarships. Visit the Office of Financial Aid to find out how you can identify and apply for scholarships, grants, loans, or the work study program.
How many students are at MCC?
Since our enrollment is increasing all the time, it's hard to put a definite number on our enrollment. On average, there are about 6,000 students per semester that are taking classes at MCC. This number includes ALL of our students - day classes, evening classes, internet classes, tele-course classes, concurrent enrollment classes, etc.
Where is the Testing Center?

How much do the C.L.E.P. tests cost?
You must pay for the C.L.E.P. test in two parts. Please refer to our Testing Center for current C.L.E.P. testing information.
How do I know if I'm exempt from THEA Test or approved alternative?

What is a tuition waiver?
A tuition wavier is an award that exempts you from paying the cost of tuition at MCC. Students in McLennan County public schools that are enrolled in Concurrent Enrollment classes, may be eligible for tuition waivers. Ask your high school counselor for a Tution Waver application or you can download one here.
When do I pay for my classes?
You must make sure that you have paid for your classes by the payment deadline for the semester in which you are planning to enroll. Registration is NOT complete until you have paid for your classes. Students may pay by phone, mail, or in person at the Business Office on campus. Check out these important dates, including the current payment deadline.
