Welcome to McLennan Community College and congratulations on your decision to further your education with a college career. We know choosing a college is one of the most important decisions of your life, and we thank you for choosing MCC to help develop your future.
MCC offers a truly exceptional educational experience. Our faculty, staff and administrators recognize that each student is unique, with individual goals, strengths, and reasons for attending college. One of the things we value most at MCC is the diversity of our students and their dreams. Whether you are a recent high school graduate, an employee seeking to advance a career, or someone fulfilling a long-held dream of attaining a college education, there are numerous avenues to success that you may choose from at MCC.
Furthermore, the College officially recognizes more than 20 student organizations. From honor societies, to cultural and special-interest clubs, to student government, there are plenty of opportunities to be involved at MCC.
Over the past few years, MCC has experienced remarkable growth. In 2006, McLennan County voters showed their support of the college by passing a $74 million bond election that will enable the College to continue to meet the growing needs of the community.
As the College begins its fifth decade this year, it will undergo many changes, including a new Science building, additional classroom and parking space, and updated facilities campus-wide. These campus improvements and additions will allow us to better support our primary goal - excellent and affordable higher education.
It is an exciting time to be part of the MCC community. You will have many opportunities for academic, personal, and social growth as a student here, and I encourage you to take full advantage of these. Reach for success ... and we'll help you get there.
