Smarthinking is a service that McLennan Community College uses to provide online support to its students.

Smarthinking provides online tutoring for the following (and more):

To use Smarthinking:

1. NOTE: Pop-ups are required for Smarthinking to function properly. If your browser has a pop-up blocker, please disable it to use Smarthinking. (Please contact the McLennan Technology Help Desk at 299-8077 if you need help disabling the pop-up blocker.)
2. Go the McLennan Community College homepage
3. Click on Brightspace
4. Enter your student username and password
   Your username is first name initial, last name initial and full 7 digit MCC ID.
   Example: Jane Doe - MCC ID# 1234567
   Username: jd1234567
   Your password is the same as it is for your student email account and WebAdvisor.
   
5. Click on the SmarThinking tab, located at the top right of your screen. Then, click on the hyperlink to access Smarthinking.
6. After the Smarthinking "Home Page" loads, select the form of support that you need. For example, you can submit a paper, schedule a tutoring sessions, submit a question, or get live tutoring.
