Center for Teaching and Learning

The mission of the Center for Teaching and Learning is to enhance the education of all employees and students by facilitating the innovation and dissemination of sustainable practices and strategies to promote independent educators and learners.

The Center for Teaching and Learning consists of four departments which all support students, staff, and faculty academically. 

  • Academic Support and Tutoring - provides academic support to students, including tutoring and writing assistance, to help develop skills in order to become independent learners.
  • Instructional Design and Innovation - collaborate with faculty in creating quality courses and support McLennan Community College's distance education program.
  • Professional and Organizational Development - offers classes, certificates and funding for faculty and staff to help build skills and knowledge.
  • Supplemental Instruction - pairs a student with a faculty partner to provide structured, group study sessions for students.
