Wear and Care for Your Face Coverings
Wearing a Face Covering Correctly gives you Maximum Protection
According to the College's Face Covering policy (E-XXXXI), McLennan Community College requires the use of social distancing and face coverings on campus effective June 24, 2020.According to the CDC's website:
- Wash your hands before putting on your face covering.
- Put it on over your nose and mouth. Secure it under your chin.
- Make sure it fits snugly against the sides of your face.
- Make sure you can breathe easily.
Some Dos and Don'ts for Wearing a Face Covering on the MCC campus:
- Do wear your face covering when on campus. This includes students, employees, visitors, and indepedent contractors on campus or other College-owned property.
- Do continue to physically distance (at least 6 feet) between people in the same physical space.
- Do wear your face covering in all common areas including classrooms, lobbies, lounges, dining facilities (except when eating), hallways, elevators, and common area bathrooms or when in close proximity to others.
- Do wash your face coverings after each use. (How to Wash Face Coverings)
- Don't put your face covering around your neck or on your forehead.
- Don't touch the face covering, and if you do, wash your hands or use hand sanitizer to disinfect.
Exceptions: Police exceptions/waivers will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Requests for accomodations or exemptions for students should be directed to disabilities@mclennan.edu or 254-299-8122. Requests for accomodations or exemptions for employees should be directed to the HR Office.
