Notification of Positive Case(s)



McLennan Community College Students, Faculty, and Staff:

We recently learned from two (2) McLennan Community College student that they have tested positive for COVID-19. The individual has been instructed to follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local public health guidelines. Contract tracing is being coordinated through the local health district with the assistance of McLennan Community College. Those that may have come into close contact with the positive individual are being notified directly and given further instruction to prevent the spread.

As part of Clery Act requirements for all Colleges and Universities, McLennan Community College is required to post a notification for students and employees. 

With the increase in COVID-19 cases in our local community, we again remind you to continue to take all necessary health protections:

  • Practice social distancing by putting at least 6 feet between yourself and others.
  • Wear face covers, especially in public places where 6 feet of separation is not feasible.
  • Wash your hands often for at least 20 seconds
  • Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands.
  • Clean and then disinfect frequently used surfaces.
  • Cover coughs/sneezes with a tissue or inside of you elbow.
  • Monitor your health for symptoms by completing the daily self-assessment.
  • Stay home if you are sick.
