Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Training
Inclusiveness is at the heart of McLennan's five Core Values:
- people matter,
- inclusiveness matters,
- integrity matters,
- communication matters, and
- excellence matters.
As we focus on these values and creating a transformative campus culture, we have developed training with these values and our overall mission in mind.
The following workshops are available Fall 2021 to McLennan Community College employees through Professional Development.
- DEI Primer
- Unconscious Bias Workshop
- Safe Zone Training
- Exploring Identity
- Intersectionality
For specific departmental training or workshops, please submit the DEI Request Form.
DEI-alogues
DEI-alogues are opportunities for the campus community to have a dialogue with the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion office on a variety of DEI related topics. These conversations help us keep the conversations going. We encourage the campus to participate in our DEI-alogues. More information will be provided Fall 2021 on DEI-alogue dates and topics.
Additional Resources
We encourage exploring DEI topics on your own and at your own pace. While some information may be easy to understand, other DEI concepts may take more reflection, research, and exploration. The DEI office is providing a resource page to help you explore, learn, and grow in your DEI knowledge. Please let us know if you have a resource you would like to share or a topic you are seeking more information on and we will try to to get it added to our Resource Page.
