MCC: A 2020 Great College to Work for Honor Roll recipient

MCC has been named to The Great Colleges to Work For® Honor Roll for being a standout amongst medium-sized schools with 3,000 to 9,999 students. The College received recognition in five categories:

  • Compensation & Benefits – Pay is fair, and benefits meet the needs of employees.
  • Facilities, Workspace & Security – Facilities adequately meet needs, the appearance of the campus is pleasing, and the institution takes steps to provide a secure environment.
  • Job Satisfaction & Support – This theme provides insight into the satisfaction with job fit, autonomy, and resources.
  • Professional/Career Development Programs – Employees are given the opportunity to develop skills and understand requirements to advance in their careers.
  • Teaching Environment – Faculty members say the institution recognizes innovative and high-quality teaching.

Now in its 13th year, the program recognizes colleges from across the nation that get top ratings from their employees regarding workplace practices and policies. The results, released in a special insert of The Chronicle of Higher Education, are based on a survey of 221 colleges and universities. Of the 221 participants, 79 institutions achieved “Great College to Work For” recognition for specific best practices and policies and 42 were named Honor Roll institutions.

In 2019, MCC was recognized for Teaching Environment and Compensation & Benefits.
