MCC Foundation Opens Scholarship Applications

April 30, 2026

Waco, Texas—The McLennan Community College Foundation will accept applications for 2026–2027 academic year scholarships beginning May 1 through its online portal at https://mclennan.awardspring.com/. Applications will remain open until midnight on May 15, 2026.

The MCC Foundation awards more than 800 scholarships each year, with opportunities based on a variety of criteria, including academic achievement, financial need, field of study, high school attended, employer affiliation and more. For the 2025–2026 academic year, the Foundation awarded $851,269.50 in scholarships. Students who have already received an MCC Foundation scholarship for 2026–2027 are not eligible for additional funds, but those who were not selected may re-apply.

“Expanding access to higher education is at the heart of our mission,” said Chris Qualls, Executive Director of the MCC Foundation. “Thanks to the generosity of our community donors, we continue to grow both the number and impact of scholarships available. We encourage all prospective and current MCC students to apply.”

MCC student Hannah Kendrick, a graduate of West High School, echoed that sentiment.

“College is so expensive now, and that stops many students from continuing their education or even going back to college to finish a degree,” Kendrick said. “The Foundation scholarship program allows students to get the education that they need without having to stress about how they are going to pay for it. Overall, the Foundation is an amazing program that has played a huge role in my educational journey, and I know it will continue to positively impact many others.”
