Casa de Café

 

For over twenty years, McLennan Community College has hosted Casa de Café, an event at which student writers and visual artists published in The Stone Circle share their work with the College and community. At Casa de Café, the College to recognize prize winners in prose, poetry, and visual art and to present certificates for their achievement.

In addition, Casa de Café showcases the excellent work of students and faculty in MCC’s Music Department, who perform a rousing, enjoyable program. In 2021, MCC’s student writing club, the Society for Creative Writers, organized a fundraiser to support student scholarships through the MCC Foundation. Finally, in 2021 the event organizers were thrilled to feature several MCC student writers who presented poetry and prose in Spanish.

SAVE THE DATE: Casa de Cafe is Thursday, Apr. 18th, from 6:00 - 7:00 pm in the Starr Plaza (outside the LTC Building). In the event of rain, the event will move to MATH 101 (first floor lecture hall).
