| Hi, I'm Stefanie—and I'm so glad you're here. I’m a wife, a mom, and a firm believer that every story—no matter how messy or unexpected—can be rewritten for good. My husband, Lamar, plays guitar for our church and is also a student here at MCC, and together we have a beautifully blended family of seven children. Life in our home is full and purposeful. As a first-generation college graduate, I understand what it feels like to take the long road. My journey wasn’t traditional, but through faith, grit, and the support of others, I earned my BBA in Marketing during the height of COVID-19. Those experiences shaped my heart for helping others push through obstacles and believe in what’s possible. Before joining MCC, I worked with survivors of trauma and trafficking, where I learned the importance of listening, meeting people where they are, and creating safe spaces for growth. That same heart guides my work today—first in the RISE Mentorship Program and now as a Workforce Success Coach. I love helping students find stability, set goals, build structure, and regain confidence when life feels overwhelming. My coaching style centers on connection, understanding, and practical strategy. I believe in breaking big goals into manageable steps, building habits that support success, and creating simple systems that make college feel more doable. Outside of work, you’ll often find me listening to an Audible book, creating learning tools, enjoying moments in nature, or making memories with my family. My love for others and my ability to see the best in people shape how I show up for those around me. |
