MCC is going green!

McLennan Community College is deeply committed to being "green," and administrators want to encourage the entire campus community to help reduce the school's effect on the environment.
MCC has a special obligation to meet the challenges of sustainability for several reasons:
- MCC educators play a leading role in training the future scientific, social, political and cultural leaders, professionals and policy-makers who will make a difference in the world.
- The college consumes significant resources on campus.
- When MCC students leave here, many will go on to be parents and community leaders, and the information they take with them will play an important role in the decisions they make and the values they impart on others.

The college developed this Web site as a way for students, staff and community members to learn more about what MCC is doing to make the world a greener place. It also contains an abundance of information about actions that individuals can take to diminish their "ecological footprint."
