Welcome to the dynamic world of politics! Our department offers a group of scholars who are dedicated to the study of politics and human nature. The political world constantly changes. Each session of Congress and the Texas legislature, Executive actions, new Court rulings, and the evolving demographics of our society provide the entire Government Department faculty the constant task of staying current in the field of political science. Our department explores political life and delves into the law with our students on their path to becoming a more fully educated and active citizens.

Mission

The mission of the Government Department of McLennan Community College is to provide quality Political Science education in National Government, Texas Government, and additional educational opportunities in our Introduction to Political Science Course to the multi-cultural, trans-generational universe served by this institution.
