TRIO Student Support Services (SSS)
What is TRIO Student Support Services?
MCC's Student Support Services (SSS) program is one of eight federally funded TRIO programs. These programs help students stay in school, graduate, and succeed in college. The TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program at MCC helps low-income, first-generation college students and students with disabilities.
The program supports students as they start college, earn a degree, and take part in more opportunities in work and community life.
SSS helps qualified students succeed in college and prepare to transfer to a university. Students receive one-on-one support and personalized services in a caring and welcoming environment. The program encourages both personal growth and academic success.
All program services are free for students who participate. MCC’s SSS Project is 100% funded by the U.S. Department of Education. The program has an annual budget of $398,502 to serve 240 participants.
