City of Waco Education Assistance Program

McLennan Community College welcomes the City of Waco as one of our educational assistance business partners.

Full-time City of Waco employees with one year of service and no performance issues are eligible to receive a reimbursement of up to $5,000 in a calendar year toward furthering their education. This includes Adult Education & Literacy courses and testing for the GED (high school equivalency test) to an Associate's or Bachelor's degree.

What expenses are covered? 
Tuition, fees, books, and other associated educational fees. 

Enrolled employees are required to maintain a minimum grade(s) of a "C" or the equivalent of passing. For employees to be eligible, they are required to maintain employment with the City of Waco for 24 months after receiving their reimbursement.

MCC offers a variety of class formats and schedules for working adult students including evening and online programs. MCC students also have free access to the MCC library, computers, tutoring, and other academic and non-academic student success resources.
