Application Process

Attention: Please note that the Stage One: GPA/Curriculum Points scoring process has been recently updated and is effective starting with the 2027 application period.

All prospective students should speak with a Radiologic Technology faculty member before applying.

Admission Process

Applications are due by June 1 to be considered for fall admission that same year. Meeting the criteria does not guarantee acceptance.

Application Requirements

Transfer Policy

MCC’s Radiologic Technology Program does not accept transfer students from outside radiography programs. This applies to students currently enrolled elsewhere and to students who were previously enrolled in another program. Our didactic and clinical components are closely connected, so transferring in would interfere with program goals and outcomes. To be considered for admission to the AAS in Radiologic Technology, you must complete the full application process and meet all requirements.

Admission Criteria

MEETING THE MINIMUM CRITERIA DOES NOT GUARANTEE ACCEPTANCE.

Applicants are ranked and admitted using a two-stage system until the enrollment limit is reached.

Stage Two: Admission Interviews.

Top scorers from Stage One are invited to interview. Interviews typically occur in the third week of June. A panel of faculty and field experts conducts each interview using a set scoring process.

Important: Make sure your email, phone number, and mailing address are correct on your application. If you miss your interview notification due to wrong contact info, you forfeit your spot. No-shows also forfeit their opportunity.

If two or more applicants tie after interviews, the program uses these tiebreakers in order:

  1. Stage 1 score
  2. Highest earned GPA
