Vision
Our vision is to be the preferred provider of nursing and allied health education among community colleges in Central Texas. We provide excellent, student-centered learning opportunities in nursing and Health Professions programs.

Goals
The Health Professions Division focuses on student learning and success. We support students while they are in their programs and after they graduate from McLennan Community College.
Our goals are to:
- Provide students with high-quality classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction. This helps students build a strong foundation of Health Professions knowledge.
- Help students develop critical thinking, analysis, observation, reflection, and application skills.
- Provide students with the latest knowledge and skills in their chosen career field.
Background check
Students in these programs who have a criminal background should know that their background could prevent them from getting a professional license in Texas.
If you have questions about your criminal background and professional licensing, talk with your faculty member or program director. You may also request a criminal history evaluation letter from the appropriate licensing agency.
