MCC's Institutional Application

If you did not attend MCC during the last year, you must submit an updated application.
After applying, you can start on the Steps (below) to Get Enrolled.

Apply for Financial Aid

  1. Fill out the  Free Application for Federal Student Aid - FAFSA.
  2. Find information on MCC's  scholarships and other financial aid options.

Submit Transcript(s), Test Scores, & Shot Record

Submit your Transcript(s)

Which transcripts do I submit? Choose an option below according to your status.

  • High School Graduate (never attended college before)
  • GED or High School Equivalency (never attend college before)
  • College Transfer (attended any college in the past)
    • Request college transcripts through or contact your previous college's Records department or Registrar's office.
You may, also, have your transcript(s) delivered by mail or in-person to Highlander Central in the Enrollment Services Center.

Submit your Test Scores
In order to determine your readiness for college-level courses, MCC will need your  Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA or TSIA2) scores or you may provide proof of exemption.

You may also mail or deliver in-person your test scores to Highlander Central on campus.

Submit your proof of the Bacterial Meningitis Immunization

  • Are you under the age of 22? If so, Texas law requires you to show proof of immunization against bacterial meningitis. Find out how to submit this documentation. Or deliver your documentation of immunization to Highlander Central in the Enrollment Services Center.
  • If you are only taking online courses, you do not need to submit your shot record.

Important: Please be sure you have submitted all the documents above (transcript(s), test scores, and shot record)  before you meet with your advisor.

Do I need to meet with an advisor?
  • MCC requires our students to meet with their advisor each semester. Find out how here
  • If you are a student who regularly attends another college and are taking a minimester or summer course only, you do not have to meet with an advisor. For the next steps, go to our Minimester & Summer Admissions checklist.

Before you can register for your classes, you will need to check your account for any holds.

Once you have met with your advisor and have taken care of any holds on your account, you can Register for your Classes in WebAdvisor. For tech help, email or contact your advisor.

Pay For Your Classes

How do I pay?
  • Review the Payment Deadlines for each semester.
  • If you are receiving a Pell grant or federal loan, your tuition will automatically be deducted from your account.
    • Any funds remaining, after your tuition and books have been paid, will be distributed to you according to your refund preferences.
  • If you are paying your tuition with cash, check, or credit card, visit MCC's Business Office or visit the Business Office's webpage for more information.
