New Horizons Band

The McLennan New Horizons Band is open to all McLennan Community College students, faculty, staff, and community members wishing to join.

New Horizons International Music Association (NHIMA) is an international non-profit organization committed to New Horizons' philosophy of music-making and undertakes initiatives designed to support the development and growth of New Horizons music organizations.

New Horizons Music programs provide entry points to music making for adults, many of which include instruction for those who were active in school music programs but have been inactive for a long period. Many adults would like an opportunity to learn music in a group setting similar to that offered in schools. The ensemble consists of all age demographics. Some music majors choose to master a secondary instrument in this lab setting. The group performs a variety of traditional and new band literature.

One campus concert is given each semester.

No audition is required.
