What is TRIO Student Support Services?

MCC's Student Support Services (SSS) program is one of eight federally funded TRIO programs designed to improve student retention, graduation and overall academic success rates. This program is fully funded by the U.S. Department of Education.

TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) programs at MCC are designed to help low-income and first-generation Americans enter college, graduate, and continue to participate more in America’s economic and social life.

TRIO programs are designed to promote student success and improve academic performance for qualified students as well as prepare them for transfer to a four-year college or university. The programs offer one-on-one guidance and personalized service to foster a nurturing atmosphere of personal growth and academic achievement to all of our participants.

All program services are provided free of charge to participating students. McLennan’s SSS Project is 100% funded by the Department of Education with an annual budget of $398,502 to serve 240 participants.

We are currently full for the 2023-24 academic year. Please join the interest list and receive updates on when we will resume accepting applications!
