Welcome to ...
The primary mission of the Visual Arts Department at McLennan Community College is the visual arts education of both the major and non-major. The Department seeks to offer appropriate visual arts experiences and classes for students wishing to pursue a degree in visual arts. These experiences and classes should, at a minimum, be equal in quality and rigor to any four-year institution in Texas so a student may transfer and enter a four-year institution as a junior-level Visual Arts major.
In addition to the mission of the transfer curriculum, the Department seeks to provide opportunities for college students to enhance their involvement in the visual arts or to pursue superior achievement, and, thus, seeks to recruit students and faculty who will contribute to a high level of visual arts activity for the Department, the College, and the community.
