Blue Crew

The Blue Crew is the official pep band of McLennan Community College.

The Blue Crew performs at all men's and women's basketball home conference games, various community engagements, pep rallies, and more. Membership is granted by permission of the director.

Enrolled students receive a scholarship for performance at basketball games. The group performs a variety of popular music ranging from rock and roll, funk, swing, blues, pop, and hip-hop.

In March, members may travel with the men's and women's basketball teams to support the Highlanders and Highlassies in the in the NJCAA Tournament. Lodging, travel, and food expenses are provided during tournament travel.

Instrumentation consists of flutes, clarinets, saxophones, trumpets, mellophones, trombones, euphoniums, sousaphones, electric bass, and drum set.
