Licensed mental health professionals are available in the Student Counseling Center during business hours to assist students experiencing a crisis. Office Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. You may reach the MCC Student Counseling Center by calling (254) 299-8210 during office hours. If the Student Counseling Services office is closed or someone is not available to assist you call Campus Police at 299-8911. If it is after hours, and you are not on the MCC campus, call 911.

The most common concerns that may warrant a crisis referral include but are not limited to:

  • Concerns about my ability to keep myself safe
  • Having a current plan to attempt suicide
  • Having taken recent steps to end my life
  • Having a strong desire to physically hurt or harm someone else
  • Experiencing sexual assault/harassment/relationship violence
  • Hearing voices or seeing things other people do not
  • Experiencing emotional distress which prevent my ability to meet my daily responsibilities
