Dear Employees and Students,

I hope everyone had a great spring break. We all need time to refresh, and it seems that during the last two years, those days have become more important than ever.

Our environment has begun to seem more normal as COVID-19 cases decrease.  With this in mind, the Emergency Operations team has decided to suspend our COVID-19 dashboard and contact tracing.

Currently, we have low community spread based upon the CDC’s website at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/science/community-levels.html, which is a measure of the impact of COVID-19 illness on health and healthcare systems. We are listed as the low level.

We do ask that you continue to self-report when you experience a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19.  Reporting and contact tracing may resume based upon local transmission levels and guidance from health authorities.  Please continue to take all necessary precautions and assess your health regularly.  Resources will remain available on the College’s COVID-19 webpage.

MCC's Leadership Team and I do care about you and your physical and mental health. We are committed to continue to monitor our environment to make the best decisions that we can.

Thanks,

Johnette E. McKown
