Employee Message June 30

Good morning everyone,

As I mentioned to you last week, the Emergency Operations Groups (the Vice Presidents, Frank Patterson, Lisa Elliott, and I) are continuing to monitor the current situation of rising positive COVID 19 cases in McLennan County.  After careful consideration, we believe it is best to delay the official start of our next phase (Phase 4) of the “Return to Campus Plan” until July 13.   Your vice president or supervisor may request for some of you to be on campus before then, and I am very appreciative to those of you who continue to respond to on-campus needs even now. We all hope that the situation will improve with recent measures enacted by local and state officials to allow a more normal campus environment.  I encourage you to continue to check our COVID 19 website for updated information.  If you have questions about how this decision affects your work, please get in touch with your vice president or me.

Thanks for all you are doing to serve students in remote (and some on-campus) ways until we all return to campus.  Above all, stay safe.

Johnette McKown
President
