Student Update - March 31, 2020

The following message was sent to students on March 31, 2020.

Dear Students,

All of us at McLennan Community College care about your success and your future.  We know you are juggling many challenges from completing your courses, to having food to eat, to paying your bills, to finding employment, or just battling technology issues.  While we can’t solve every problem, there may be ways we can lighten the load, but we can’t help if we don’t know. Please contact success@mclennan.edu to access many services. My video message encourages you to reach out to our Success Coaches, so they may assist you.

You may have also recently heard from careers@mclennan.edu about finding a job now or planning your career.  Earlier today, they send out some information to your student email about their services.

We do care.  While I realize this is a time of unprecedented uncertainty, as a country, we will survive this.  There is hope for tomorrow although we may be uncomfortable on the journey.  I just read a quote from the great philosopher Winnie-the-Pooh:  Promise me you’ll always remember:  You’re braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.  You can finish well and continue positively as we all navigate this new temporary reality.

Our faculty and staff will partner with you through for your success as much as we can.  Let us help where we may.
