MCC Foundation Scholarships & Resources

Thanks to the generous support of our donors, the McLennan Community College Foundation awards about 400 scholarships each year. These scholarships help students pay for college and reach their goals.
Scholarships are funded in two ways:
- Endowed scholarships, funded through long-term investments
- Unendowed scholarships, supported by annual donations
Application Dates
Scholarship applications are accepted during these periods:
- October 1 – January 15
- May 1 – May 15
These applications are for the next academic year.

If you are taking classes at another college or through MCC’s University Center partners, apply for scholarships through that school.
Important Scholarship Information
Many Foundation Scholarships are based on financial need. If you are a Presidential Scholar, Honors College Scholar, or McLennan Scholar (top 10 percent), you usually cannot receive other Foundation Scholarships.
If you later qualify for one of these programs, your original Foundation Scholarship will be removed and given to another eligible student.
All students are strongly encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Please note: Scholarship numbers and award amounts are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Awards vary based on eligibility and available funds.
