McLennan Scholars

McLennan Scholars are students who graduate in the top 10 percent or in the top five of their class in McLennan County (whichever is the greater number of students) for accredited high schools. If fewer than 21 students are in the senior class, then the two highest-ranking students will receive the scholarship.

Students who qualify for the McLennan Scholarship are notified by McLennan's financial aid office and their high school principals in the spring of their senior year.

Home School Scholarship

This scholarship is also offered to five students in McLennan County who graduate from home school programs. These students must complete the McLennan Community College Foundation scholarship application and indicate their interest in the home school McLennan Scholarship. The scholarship committee will then award the scholarships.

About the Scholarship

The scholarship covers tuition and fees for four semesters (excluding summer terms). Recipients must begin using the scholarship no later than the fall semester immediately following graduation from high school.

Recipients must enroll full time (12 credit hours or more per semester) and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 to remain eligible.
